This Digest describes the methodology and results of a study of the weightings of sustainability issues from buildings and construction. These provide a basis for analysing environmental effects and setting priorities for action. To undertake holistic analysis of the environment, different impacts must be compared on a single scale (such as Ecopoints). A consensus about the importance of different environmental issues is necessary to calculate such a score. The weightings determined by BRE can now be used for this.
